3 Common Summer Skin Care Issues and How To Treat Them Naturally Using Our Products

We couldn’t be happier that summer seems to have finally arrived, but oh boy, has it been hot! While we would take the rays over the snow any day, we have to admit that the warmer weather certainly does take a toll on the state of our skin.

The sun is not the only culprit though!

Keep reading to find out a few causes of the most common skin care issues during the sunny months and how you can treat them naturally with our products here at green sisters.

Dry Skin

Wait, what? Isn’t dry skin something you deal with only during the chilly months? While winter can certainly dry out your skin so can summer for a variety of reasons. Overexposure to the sun, not drinking enough water and chlorine pools are three of the biggest causes of dry summer skin, but fortunately it’s easier to combat than you may think.

We encourage you to ensure you are sipping water throughout the day to avoid dehydration, always wear sunscreen and always rinse off your skin after soaking in a chlorine pool.

Be sure to keep your face clean by cleansing morning and night with a face wash like our refreshing and uplifting Cranberry-Orange Foam Cleanser and don’t forget to moisturize to keep your skin perfectly hydrated and balanced. You can’t go wrong with our best-selling Multi Vitamin Creme.

Oily Skin

You’re probably more familiar with oily skin during summer and it makes perfect sense, because intense heat means sweating, which can clog up the pores and contribute to pesky blemishes.

To manage oily skin naturally we recommend cleansing twice a day with a cleanser that will help to control excess oil such as our Acne Control Cleanser, brimming in skin loving ingredients to control oil, unclog pores and keep the skin bright and healthy.

We also highly recommend carrying around our Aloe Vera Facial Mist and spritzing it throughout the day whenever your skin is feeling extra greasy and is in need of a refreshing antioxidant boost. Aloe Vera is also wonderful for soothing inflamed or irritated skin making it ideal to tote around in your beach bag!

Sensitive, Inflamed Skin

Whether you have a sensitive skin or whether your skin is just dry, irritated and inflamed from excessive heat, we’ve got your back!

Our Lavender Rose Cleanser will help to calm the senses as well as the skin and our Chickweed Moisturizer will help to drastically soothe and moisturize irritated skin, even conditions such as eczema or rosacea.

We hope this helps you to enjoy your summer without having to worry about your skin!
