We all have an air freshener can sitting in our bathrooms, but most are filled with chemicals that are inhaled when sprayed into the air.
For a super simple, yet all natural alternative, simply add about 25 drops of your favourite smelling essential oil to a medium sized spray bottle filled with filtered water. Spray in the air every time your bathroom needs a quick pick-me-up!
Love it or hate it, we all have to get down and dirty in our bathrooms at least once a week. Why not skip the heavy bleach this time around and create your own all natural bathroom cleaner?
Castile soap is an all natural soap alternative that makes a great household cleaner, especially when combined with baking soda, vinegar and a few drops of essential oil. Our favourites for the bathroom are citrus scented oils such as lemon or orange, as it really helps to mask odours while purifying the air. Citrus scents are also known to boost your mood, making them ideal to use on your dreaded cleaning day!
Use this mixture to clean your toilet, your sink and even your tub!
Of course it shouldn’t be all work and no play! When your bathroom is squeaky clean, why not reward yourself by running a relaxing bubble bath and adding a few drops of lavender or jasmine essential oil for true soothing indulgence.
Love the feel of a good foaming hand wash, but hate the ingredient list? You may be surprised at how simple it is to make your own!
Simply add about 10 drops of your favourite essential oil, why not try bergamot and orange, along with about half a cup of castile soap as well as half a cup of filtered water to a foaming hand dispenser bottle. Give it a good shake and voila!
There you have it! Who thought you could use essential oils in so many different ways? Ditch the chemicals and create your own natural concoctions for a toxic free household.
