So if you’re eating processed, fast foods on a daily basis and constantly dealing with stomach issues, such as bloating, pain and constipation, then chances are your mood isn’t the best either.

Fortunately, by adding a few simple foods into your diet, that will help to promote good bacteria in your gut, you’ll soon be on your way to enjoying a happy and healthy digestive system, increased energy levels and a lift in your spirits!

Okay, so this one isn’t a food, but you’re going to love it so we thought we’d start with it.

Kombucha is a fizzy, fermented tea, which may sound intimidating, but one sip and it will soon take the place of your regular cans of soda pop, trust us!

Kombucha is high in Glucaric acid, which helps to support the liver and aids in its natural detoxification. Kombucha promotes healthy gut bacteria and is the perfect substitute for your morning cup of joe, as it provides a quick dose of energy, but without the caffeine!


Bananas

We don’t know many people who don’t love this popular fruit! One of our favourite ways to enjoy bananas is in a smoothie or a delicious vegan chocolate mousse!

Sauerkraut

Enjoy a tablespoon alongside a savoury meal or add it to a healthy wrap.


Greek yogurt

You may be more familiar with this one! Brimming in probiotics, greek yogurt can improve your digestive health, help your body better absorb nutrients and improve your immune function.
