Multi Purpose Ways To Use Your Skin Care Products

While you may follow a daily skin care ritual that involves a cleanser, toner and moisturizer, did you know that there are other ways you can use these three common skin care products?

In this article we’ll talk about a few fun and interesting ways you can make the most out of your skin care products and you may be surprised at just how versatile they are!

Cleanser as an exfoliator

So you may wonder how it’s possible to change one product into another one completely, but with the addition of one simple ingredient you can!

Next time your skin is in need of an exfoliation try adding a tsp of raw sugar to a dollop of your cleanser and wash your face as you would before rinsing off to reveal brighter, smoother and silky smooth skin!

Cleanser as a makeup brush cleaner

When was the last time you cleaned your makeup brushes? Yep, that’s what we thought…

Makeup brushes can breed bad bacteria if you don’t wash them on a regular basis, but why splurge on an expensive brush cleaner when your cleanser can do the job?

Next time you lather up your brushes with your facial cleanser, be sure to add a tablespoon or more of baking soda to kill bacteria thanks to its antibacterial properties.

Toner to set your makeup

Again, this is a product many girls splurge on, but your regular facial toner does the exact same thing!

Next time you apply your makeup, be sure to spritz some facial toner over to set your face all day (or night!) long.

Moisturizer to fix makeup mistakes

Ever achieved the perfect cat eye only to have it smudge because you sneezed or touched it before it fully dried? Yeah, we’ve all been there.

Next time you need to fix a small mistake without having to redo your whole face, try dipping a q-tip into a dab of moisturizer and use it to gently erase the mistake without smudging the rest of your face, voila!

Moisturizer to tame flyaways

This one has helped us out in an emergency for sure!

Blame it on your hair type or blame it on the humidity, we all deal with flyaways at some point or another.

Next time your hair misbehaves, simply massage some moisturizer into your hands and then run them over your hair. Make sure you properly massage the lotion into your hands before running over frizzy bits to avoid greasiness, which is a whole other problem!

We hope these tips will inspire you to use your regular skin care products in other ways to really get the most out of them!
