Product Abstract: This evergreen tree is indigenous to the West Indies and South America. It reaches about 10 meters in height (approximately 30 feet) and begins to produce fruit in its third year. Along with the island we now know as Jamaica, Christopher Columbus discovered this sweet, pungent spice. The Spanish called it 'pimento' because the dried berries looked like dried peppercorns.
Cautions: Dilute before use; Essential oil is for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
